After returning to the game of professional football and suffering through a season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers that didn’t result in a Super Bowl victory, Tom Brady has decided to hang up the cleats and retire for a second and final time.
The announcement came this morning, which was a surprise to those that believed he had his mind set on joining another NFL team and making more championship runs.
Online Super Bowl betting sites were favoring the Las Vegas Raiders and San Francisco 49ers as the front-runners to sign Tom Brady.
The Raiders make sense because it would reunite Brady with his former offensive coordinator in New England, Josh McDaniels. Having Davante Adams at receiver and Josh Jacobs at running back would be enticing for an aging Brady looking to hoist another Lombardi before retiring for good.
The 49ers are loaded with talent across both sides of the ball, and adding “Tom Terrific” to the mix could complete the championship recipe.
There were also reasonable odds placed on his return to the New England Patriots and taking another crack at a Super Bowl title with head coach Bill Belichick.
Those player prop bets have all cashed in now that Brady has announced his final decision, but will he change his mind? There are NFL odds on the boards now that are taking action on whether his retirement is permanent.

While the video clocked in at under a minute, it lasted long enough for Tom to choke up when thanking all of the athletes and coaches that had a part in his historic NFL career.
There is also the possibility that Tom is trying to save his marriage with Gisele Bündchen, all the more reason for him to retire. Images shared recently on Brady’s various social media accounts seem to reflect a potential for patching things up with Gisele.
If you believe that Tom Brady’s competitive fire still burns strong and that he will change his mind, NFL prop bets are paying out 7-to-1 net gains on him unretiring once again.
Laying some action on Brady’s odds of remaining retired will require significant risk in order to earn any decent cash winnings. Gamblers will need to bet at least $15 on Brady retiring in order to earn $1.

Bovada Comments Included In Tom Brady Retirement Betting Line
One area of concern in regard to betting on an outcome of “yes” for a Brady return at Bovada is when exactly the prop will payout. The term beyond represents an unspecific variable, and at the moment, the only guarantee for a payout would be upon his death.
Also guaranteed right now is Tom Brady will not be playing in Super Bowl 57, but he’s somehow managed to be included in the new batch of prop bets produced just prior to the big game.
We expect similar Tom Brady props to appear at competing sportsbooks in the coming days, but for now, Bovada seems to have a monopoly on his retirement odds.
